Community Arts & Facilitation Workshop with Ruth Howard

Thank you to all those who attended the February 14th workshop with Ruth Howard! Lily and Ruth spent a great afternoon with a group of artists, arts educators and arts enthusiasts as they moved through a series of community arts facilitations activities. Ruth Howard is an interdisciplinary theatre and community-engaged artist and the founding Artistic Director of Jumblies, an arts hub in Toronto. Lily first met Ruth a few years back when Lily participated in Ruth’s project, Grounds for Goodness at Wonder’neath. We are grateful to know Ruth and have her in our artistic community.

Help Stop the Cuts to Art and Culture!

As you might have already heard, the 2026-27 budget announces devastating cuts to arts and culture. We regularly use programs like Perform!, Artists in Communities, Grant to Individuals, Grants to Organizations and Artists in Schools to fund our programs and performances. We have seen first hand the immense positive impact these programs have on kids and youth in our communities. It is thanks to these programs that we can offer free or heavily subsidized classes, weekend retreats and workshops to children and youth in our province.

Please write to you MLA, the Premier and the Minister of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage to share with them the impact that art and culture has your life.

That’s all folks!
