Icarus, Falling of Birds opens next week! Ticket links and volunteer positions

We are less than two weeks away from the opening of our new outdoor play, Icarus, Falling of Birds!

We are happy to let you know that neither York Redoubt or Ross Creek are affect by the forest bans due to sever draught.

Over the last two months we have been busily preparing our newest outdoor performance! Our design partners, North Barn Theatre have been working in Sackville, NB creating large scale puppets out of natural material such as birch bark, willow, grasses and moss. They have assembled a team of 6 puppeteers to bring these beautiful objects to life.

In Halifax Lily and I are rehearsing with our wonderful youth ensemble that includes 2 Dalhousie Fountain School of the Performing Arts students as well as a group of 14-16 year olds since early July. They are very excited to share their work with you next week!

We are looking for a few people per night to volunteer with us! Do you love live theatre? Think it is so neat that performances can take place outdoors? Do you like stacking chairs and pointing people towards the toilets? Well then this is for you!

Youth Programs coming soon…!

This fall we will be once again partnering with the Adventure Earth Centre to bring an offering of outdoor theatre making course to pre-teens and teens in Shubie Park, Dartmouth. More news to come shortly! In the mean time you can check out this lovely little video that we had made a couple of years ago for our Adventures in Outdoor Theatre program that culminated in a performance for the Winter Solstice.
